How to optimise the lamination of edges with reactive adhesives (PUR)

JJ Cocinas, an expert manufacturer of kitchen units, explains the production advantages brought about by the use of PUR adhesive and the installation of an edge lamination applicator in their manufacturing line.

Meler has worked for decades as a provider of adhesive coating solutions for the wood and construction industry. Focke Meler technology is present in many of the most common applications of the furniture and wood industry, such as:

HOT MELT APPLICATIONS IN THE WOOD INDUSTRY

  • Gluing of boards
  • Sealing of worktops
  • Edging of boards
  • Coating of mouldings
  • Postforming applications

Although the applications are similar, each installation is unique and our clients have designed their own production processes, meaning that a personalised and professional service is essential.

Meler is therefore proud that JJ Cocinas, an expert manufacturer of kitchen units for several generations, has relied on the Meler machine to begin a production change in one of its manufacturing lines dedicated to the lamination of edges.

Jesús de Abajo, manager of JJ Cocinas, explains the production advantages brought about by the lamination system with edge applicator compared with the use of the roller system.

Focke Meler will be one of the 467 exhibitors present at FIMMA-Maderalia, the eagerly awaited international meeting point for professionals from the wood industry, which will take place in Valencia from the 29th of March to the 1st of April.
