The UK may have left Europe, but that does not mean Europe has to leave the UK
Focke Meler is an international company with more than 40 years of experience in exporting all over the world. Our solvency as an exporting supplier to non-EU countries has prepared us well to face this new trading situation.
It’s been one month since the Brexit took place and the transition period ended. The United Kingdom left the EU Single Market and Custom Union and all EU policies affecting citizen, stakeholders, business and cross-border exchanges.
New local strategies and procedures
Focke Meler has been adapting progressively to this upcoming situation during the last year. The goal was to provide our UK & Ireland team with the necessary support to increase their autonomy.
To help to prepare for this situation, Focke Meler has enhanced our local stock capacity and increased the number of goods and materials likely to be needed by our UK & Ireland customers. We have been working closely with our customers to ensure that between us we have a plan of action for all potential downtime scenarios, advising on essential spares to be kept on site and establishing planned maintenance scheduling, this is all part of our Added Value Service. Looking to the future we have been busily conducting exciting new trials for customers under strict Covid safe conditions at our UK Testing facility. Ultimately the world continues to spin for our business.
Urgent response Service
Furthermore, in order to mitigate any inconvenience, a new urgent response service has been stablished from our headquarters in Spain: items will be sent directly choosing the most appropriate logistic service. During the restrictions caused by the pandemic, aerial custom transport was increased so that customers would not find any lack of service.
