Book spine gluing

Meler, once again, has successfully installed a book spine gluing lamination system with adhesive PUR at one of Spain's most important bookbinder companies.

The system is composed by a drum unloader PS20-NS (non-stop) for drums of 20L PUR and a trolley holder which includes an adjustable coating head (for book width up to 100 mm). It also includes one photocell of book detection for the beginning of the application cycle and the adjustment settings of height and 'zero point'.

The installation has been made on a Müller-Martini Norbinder bookbinder up to 4000 books per hour.
